Rental Terms & Conditions
Booking, payment, pick-up and return of the vehicle.
payments 1. Charges & Fees
Daily rates
Charged on 24-hour daily cycles. If arrival and departure times have not been submitted in advance, an extra day charge may apply. Early returns within 24 hours of pick-up avoid additional charges regardless of flight times.
Vehicle cleanliness
- Dirty vehicle (exterior): N$350
- Interior stained or excessively dusty: N$1,500
Additional drivers
One-time fee: N$280 per person.
Camping equipment
Included in the daily rate - no extra charges for standard equipment.
event_available 2. Booking & Payment
A booking is confirmed upon receipt of a 30% deposit of the total amount. Full payment is required before vehicle release.
Payment methods

- check_smallForeign currency or amounts over N$5,000 in cash: additional N$750 handling fee
- check_smallCredit cards: Visa and MasterCard only (Diners Club and American Express not accepted)
A credit card pre-authorisation is held for the CDW excess amount. The card must be the lessee's own card, remain valid throughout the rental period, and have sufficient available credit.
directions_car 3. Driver Requirements
Every driver must hold an original valid international driving licence that meets all of the following:

- check_smallIncludes the holder's ID or passport number
Not accepted: driving permits or certified copies of any licence.
group 4. Age Restrictions
Minimum driver age: 23 years.
Drivers under 25 years of age: surcharge of N$280 per day per person.
local_airport 5. Airport Transfers
A complimentary transfer between Windhoek airport and the rental office is provided on pick-up and drop-off days.
Scheduled departures
08:00, 11:00, 15:30. The driver waits up to 3 hours after the flight's scheduled landing time.
Vehicle handover
Handover until 17:00. Arrivals after 17:00 receive the vehicle the next business day.
Transfers outside the standard airport route (hotels beyond central Windhoek, alternative locations) incur additional charges.
schedule 6. Vehicle Pick-up & Return
Vehicles are collected and returned at the rental office in Windhoek. Alternative locations are available at extra cost.
Return hours
- Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 15:00
- Saturday: 08:00 - 13:00
- Weekend and public holiday returns require prior arrangement
Late returns are charged as an additional rental day. Airport pick-up or drop-off is limited to vehicles without camping equipment.

payments 8. Refunds
The base currency is the Namibian Dollar (N$). The rental company is not liable for bank charges or foreign exchange differences arising from currency conversion.
flag 9. Cross-border Travel
Permitted destinations
- South Africa - Cape Town only
- Botswana - Kasane, Kazungula, Maun
Requirements
Cross-border travel requires either CDW Option 4 (full cover) or an upfront payment equal to the credit-card pre-authorisation amount (refunded on undamaged return).
Additional costs & penalties

- infoFailed permit handover at the border: N$500
- infoAccident or theft outside Namibia: +20% administration fee
The lessee must submit a travel itinerary and familiarise themselves with current border-crossing requirements.
calendar_month 10. Public Holidays
The office closes on 24 December at 13:00 and remains closed on 25 December. Pick-ups and returns during this period require prior arrangement.
